It’s a complex job market right now and there are many out of work. Job openings are getting flooded with applicants and for many opportunities, it’s impossible to review every resume.
This post includes templates to encourage you to reach out to hiring managers or people in general who you believe can help you show your worth and land that ideal next opportunity.
A couple of guidelines…
Expect it to take three emails
Keep it short
Make sure scheduling is super simple. Consider a tool like Calendly
Most importantly, get over that inner voice telling you that you shouldn’t bother them. They won’t mind, I promise.
First Outbound Templates (Week One)
If they just accepted a LinkedIn Connection from you

If you're emailing a hiring team member after applying for a job

I promise I'll stop bothering you after this message. I know that in our busy landscape, these messages can be missed and a helpful nudge can sometimes do the trick.
I love this advice. From my experience, asking for 15 minutes yields more results than asking for 30, but your mileage may vary.
